How to brew the ground coffee beans?

Coffee is a must-have drink for many people every morning, and a cup of fragrant coffee is inseparable from the careful brewing process. After selecting fresh coffee beans and grinding them, the next step is how to properly brew a cup of delicious coffee. This article will introduce you to several common coffee brewing methods.

1. Drip Brewing Method

Drip brewing is the most common and easiest method. First, prepare a filter paper and a dripper or automatic drip machine. Add an appropriate amount of water to the kettle and pour in clean, odorless, and temperature-appropriate (about 90°C) boiling water.

Next, place an appropriate amount of ground and slightly moistened coffee powder (to remove any remaining debris) on the filter paper. Then, slowly pour a small amount of boiling water into the center and wait for about 30 seconds for it to expand into a wave shape.

Then, pour the remaining water slowly and evenly, making sure the water flow is steady and even. When the dripping is complete, pour the coffee into the cup and enjoy.

2. French Press Brewing Method

The French press is a coffee brewing tool powered by air pressure that can produce a strong and full-flavored coffee. First, add an appropriate amount of ground coffee powder to the French press and shake it gently to distribute it evenly.

Then, add an appropriate amount of boiling water at about 90°C to the top of the container and quickly press the piston down to the bottom. At this point, you need to wait for about 4 minutes to allow the coffee to fully soak and extract.

Finally, when the piston is slowly lifted, a gas is generated to push the liquid through the filter into the container below. Pour the brewed coffee into the cup and enjoy the delicious taste.

3. Espresso method

Espresso is a very popular and classic coffee brewing method, which can produce a strong, mellow and slightly bitter coffee. First, put the appropriate amount of ground coffee powder into the espresso pot and gently press it with your fingers.

Next, place the espresso pot on the stove and heat it. When the water starts to boil and you see a mixture of gas and liquid coming out of the top through the small holes in the bottom of the pot, turn off the heat.

Finally, after waiting for a few seconds to let the temperature drop, pour the brewed coffee into the cup and enjoy it. You can add appropriate amount of milk or sugar to adjust the taste according to your personal taste.

4. Cold Brew

Cold brewing is a relatively slow method of brewing coffee that is smooth, aromatic, and low in acidity. First, add a suitable amount of ground and slightly moistened (to remove any remaining debris) coffee powder to a container and add cold water.

Then, gently stir the coffee powder and water to ensure that they are thoroughly mixed. Cover the container and leave it at room temperature for 12 to 24 hours. Afterwards, filter out the steeped coffee using filter paper or a filter mesh.

Finally, after waiting for a few minutes for the temperature to drop, pour the cold brew coffee into the cup and add appropriate amount of ice cubes, milk or sugar to adjust the taste according to personal taste.

Summarize

The above introduces several common coffee brewing methods: drip, French press, espresso and cold brew. Each method has its own unique characteristics and taste experience. Whether you like light or strong taste, you can choose the method that suits you to make a delicious cup of coffee according to your preferences.
